Question about Kurzick Faction (and getting it) - Guild Wars Forums

Hi! I started a pve character and I would like to fit him out with the kurzick armor. I need ambers. I'm too poor to buy them for 800 gold each, so I figure I should earn some faction and trade them in for these amber chunks.

Problem: My guild is luxon oriented, which means I can't earn kurzick faction from alliance battles. However, I've heard that you can earn faction through a lot of PvE activity, like quests and arenas. My question is: what's the fastest way to earn kurzick faction if your guild is luxon? The pve character I've started is a monk, if that helps.

Well basically there are 2 ways: do repetable quests or earn the factions in Jade Quarry or Fort Aspenwood. I would really recommend FA; it's pretty fast faction, but most of all it's not nearly as boring as having to take object A to location B.... And you also get some Balthazar faction as well.

There is a quest in the explorable area called Melandru's Hope that gives 400 Kurzick faction in about 3 minutes. It is repeatable.

I found the quest but how do you do it in that short time o-O

The quest in Melandru's Hope is called Securiing Echovald Forest. Just go to Lutgardis Conservatory and find a group that is faction farming. Groups form and divide the responsibility between them so each person usually only runs to one point. I suggest going outside and practicing the quest on your own to learn where to run as some groups don't take people that don't have a clue what they are doing.

However, if you like doing Alliance Battles, don't let the fact that your guild is Luxon stop you. You can always sell the Jade you earn to have enough to purchase the Amber you need.

Ask a Kurzick Guild to give you guest access to their hall. Then, AB your heart out until you have enough
